Guide Book 02
Title: A Guide for Minimizing Construction and Demolition Waste at the Design Stage
Authors: Professor C.S.Poon and Lara Jaillon
Date: February 2002

This guidebook presents ways to reduce the generation of construction and demolition (C&D) waste at the design stage.  It provides a global concept to apply waste minimization measures in design and shows local and overseas examples and case studies.  It includes design measures and concepts to delay the generation of demolition waste of existing buildings, to optimize the building life of new construction and to minimize waste arising from building and construction.
